Hi, I'm Rosemary, a wildlife conservationist who grew up in Zimbabwe. I'm now working for the African Wildlife Conservation Fund to promote the conservation of the enigmatic, fragile and highly endangered African wild dogs in this wonderful country. We work specifically in the Save Valley Conservancy and Gonarezhou National Park.

Just a very quick post to show you some pictures of African wild dog puppies at play. These are pups from the first litter of the Bedford Pack; just over 3 months old when these photos were taken. Sadly one of the litter disappeaered a few months ago, but the remaining 11 are still doing well.

Through this blog I’ve become more and more fascinated by these awesome animals. I really appreciate all the hard work you are doing to conserve the wild dogs, especially as you having to face such hard field conditions and the instability of Zimbabwe.
Rest assured that there are many overseas people who think your work is very valuable. I’ll try to donate whenever I can.
